After the success of last years Mock Trail event, in conjunction with DAC Beachcroft, we are pleased to be working with them again to bring you something different in the form of a Mock Investigation Workshop.
MANAGER AND DIRECTOR RISKS – Fall from Height Fatality
Following a workplace fatality involving a fall from height, the regulatory authorities will closely examine the role of individuals, including managers and directors, when considering potential manslaughter and health and safety offences.
This workshop examines a scenario involving the death of a sub-contractor following a fall from height on scaffolding.
It will provide a detailed analysis of the offence of gross negligence manslaughter and potential health and safety offences by the organisations involved.
Delegates attending the workshop will play the role of the senior management of a fictional principal contractor and have an opportunity to indicate how they would deal with the key stages in a criminal investigation by the police/HSE following a workplace fatality.
DAC Beachcroft will then provide advice and guidance on the applicable law and best practice.
Why Should You Attend?
Not only will delegates gain a better understanding of what can happen following a serious incident, but the workshop will help identify measures they should be taking to provide strong health and safety leadership in their businesses.
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is suitable for all employees.
