This three day course taking place on 16, 17 and 18 October trains the student to the required assessed level of competency in first aid procedures, techniques and legislation in order that as a qualified first aider they may assist the employer in conforming to the Health & Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981 and current Approved Code of Practice and Guidance.
Assessing the need for and the practical application of resuscitation; Recognition and management of common major or minor illnesses; The movement of a casualty safely as required by the circumstances of the incident and the workplace.
On successful completion of the intern and final assessments, the candidate will be awarded a Certificate of Proficiency, which remains valid for a period of 3 years.
