There was a record turnout of over 40 people for our first Members’ Meeting of 2023 took place on 29th March at Sandy Park, Exeter.
The speakers for this event were:
- Richard Price, Chief Engineering Director and Chief Operating Officer – South West Water and Bristol Water, Graham Murphy, Major Projects & Transformation Director, Les Metcalfe, Head of Commercial & Estates, focused on procurement for AMP8.
- Laurence Stone, Senior Customer Engagement Manager (South West England), CITB, who provided a general update.
- Ross Primmer, Senior Consultant of Action Sustainability, spoke about Social Value, a key aspect of contractors’ bids to the public sector.
- Natalie King, Operations Director, AccXel and Nicola Bird Founder and Managing Director, AccXel, updated CECA Members on progress at their trailblazing construction school for groundworkers and plant operators.
