Civil Engineering Contractors Association Midlands has announced a new Chair.
Richard Hague, regional managing director at AmcoGiffen, will take over from Ron Pinfield, managing director of CLM after three years at the helm.
Richard said: “I’m looking forward to taking on this role and working closely with the CECA Midlands team. Ron has laid a solid foundation for us to build on and I’d like to thank him for his brilliant leadership over the last few years.”
Richard, who has worked in commercial and operation roles across sectors such as highways, rail, Water, petro-chemical, building and civil engineering, will remain in post until March 2027.
His ambitions during his tenure include:
- Supporting the delivery of a bigger and continued dynamic service from CECA Midlands.
- Supporting the industry as it evolves and adapts to external factors such as domestic and non-domestic policy development.
- Ensuring the delivery of CECA Midlands continues to meet the needs of its members.
Ron added: “It has been a great honour to hold the role of Chair for the last three years. It has been hugely enjoyable I have learnt how much we, as contractors in the Midlands, have to offer, the skills and expertise we hold and the variety of differing projects we undertake.
“I may be biased, but I honestly do we feel that we lead the way. We are innovative, creative, ever evolving and we produce amazing quality in the projects we undertake.
Richard is a long-standing industry colleague who I believe will do an outstanding job to deliver an even bigger and better CECA Midlands.”
Andrew Kelsey, principle & special projects director from McCann, will become Vice-Chair and Steve Lilly, civil engineering operations director from Murphy will step up as Deputy Vice-Chair.
