CECA Southern Executive Director, David Allen, supported the Build Forward Alliance (BFA) to deliver a panel event at the 2024 South Coast CPS Conference in Southampton on Thursday 14 November. The alliance was established to help generate better outcomes for those involved in the South Coast construction industry through a process of collaborative engagement and knowledge share. It is hoped that the increase in mutual awareness will unlock a more value for the clients and better outcomes for all. The focus for this event was procurement within the private sector with the audience comprising industry bodies operating along the South Coast.
The 5 key areas considered within procurement were presented by the individual BFA panel members as follows:

Level of Information – Rob Emery, Director, Ascia Construction
Customer Engagement & Pre-Construction Engagement – Chris Kane, Business Development Director, Greendale Construction
Ground Information – Justin Galloway, Pre-Construction & Business Development Director, Mildren Construction
Forms of Contract – Bonds & Insurances – Kevin Valentine, Managing Director, Knights Brown.
The BFA will hold a follow up session during Q1 2025 with those registering an interest at the event to continue the knowledge share.
