CECA South West Foundations Group were manning a stand at The National Apprenticeship Show – South West 24th and 25th January 2023 to encourage young people into a Civil Engineering career. School leavers and students were able to have a go on the simulator and experience using a virtual headset.

The Plymouth University Mentoring Committee in partnership with the CECA South West Foundations Group organised a Careers Fair today for civil engineering students at Plymouth University. Manning the stand are Paul Santer, Fergus Longbottom and Katie Farrell and Conner Kearey.
The CECA South West Foundations Group held their quarterly meeting at CECA’s Exeter Office on 27th September. Several other members of the group joined online (but missed out on pizza!). The thought-provoking speaker at this event was Kate Doodson of Cosmic, a social enterprise organisation which specialises in digital skills and business support.

On the morning of 22nd September, Babcock International and CECA South West held a client liaison meeting at Sandy Park in Exeter. There was a good attendance of some 20+ members who learnt about the major infrastructure projects happening in Number 5 Basin in Devonport Dockyard and beyond – and also Babcock’s new construction framework.
