Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, however, applicants are required to be able to work throughout the North of England, and at times may occasionally be asked to work away from home.

Role: Cheetham Hill Construction is a family run business which has been operating for over 55 years. We are looking for a Site Manager, with at least 5 years’ experience of managing/supervising staff in general groundworks and civils work including drainage, highways, reinforced concrete, remediation, and hard landscaping.  On a day-to-day basis, we will expect you to:

  • Plan and organise labour and plant on site
  • Work as part of a team and maintain client relations
  • Uphold high safety standards at all times
  • Project a professional image and lead by example
  • Maintain Quality Control
  • Ensure resources are used efficiently on site and that it is a safe and tidy place to work and visit
  • Control costs by monitoring them weekly
  • Have a working knowledge of MS Project, maintain and update contract programmes
  • Keep records and maintain an electronic filing system
  • Be IT literate, able to use Word, Excel, and other electronic documentation
  • Manage and reduce waste

What you will need:

  • Experience in a variety of Civil Engineering disciplines
  • HND/HNC or higher
  • Valid CSCS card
  • SMSTS qualification
  • First aid at work qualification
  • Competency in Health and Safety practice
  • A good knowledge of Environmental Management
  • Current valid driving licence
