CECA, the representative body for the UK’s civil engineering contractors, has announced the formation of a specialist sector group for its member companies with an interest in highways maintenance.
The Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) represents more than 300 contractors of all sizes, many of whom are active in repairing, maintaining and upgrading the nation’s highways.
CECA’s new Highways Maintenance Group will bring together contractors from its member companies to share best practice, formulate policy, and provide an industry voice to Government and other stakeholders
Commenting on the launch, newly-elected Chair of the Group, Simon White, Highways Director with Dyer & Butler, a part of M Group Services, said: “I am delighted to Chair this new group, which will prioritise: workload visibility; health and safety; driving innovation; achieving net zero; and improving productivity.
“CECA’s Highways Maintenance Group will bring the right people together to work together to deliver efficiency and drive best practice in highways maintenance across England and Wales.
“I am excited to have been elected Chair of this new group, and I look forward to curating a wide-ranging programme of events and projects to help our members understand upcoming pipelines and client expectations.
