The next meeting of the CECA Rail Group will take place on Thursday 1 October 2020 from 10.30-11.30am via MS Teams.
The Government has announced a programme of railway re-openings and one of their candidates is the Fawley Branch Line in Hampshire. The line has been used for freight but the passenger service was closed many years ago.
Our next talk, organised jointly by the CECA Rail Group and CECA Southern, will be delivered by Nick Farthing, who heads up the group campaigning to re-open the line for passenger use, with a service to Southampton. Nick has had a long career in the railway industry and is keen to explain the group’s plans to CECA members.
