CECA South West, the CECA SW Foundations Group and member companies supported the ‘Construction Zone’ at this event in conjunction with Building Plymouth and Building Greater Exeter. The Big Bang South West is the largest celebration of Science, Technology and Maths (STEM) in the region and the Construction Zone provided an interactive and inspirational space for young people to explore the opportunities available to them within this industry. Over 14,000 schoolchildren attended on the day! Our particular thanks go to those member companies that supported the event – Griffiths, Dyer & Butler, Interserve, Knights Brown, Suttle Projects, Taylor Woodrow and Gilpin Demolition, as well the members of the CECA SW Foundations Group.

“I wanted to say a big thank you for all of the activities and information on your stand. Several students came to me at the end of the day, handing me your business card saying what fun they’d had and how much they’d learnt. Stands like yours really help to inspire the next generation in all things STEM. Huge thanks again.” Science Teacher, St. Peter’s Church of England Aided School, Exeter.
