Forestry England is the largest land manager in England and custodian of the nation’s public forests. Our mission is to connect everyone with the nation’s forests by creating and caring for forests for people to enjoy, wildlife to flourish and businesses to grow. We support the Forestry Commission, the non-ministerial department responsible for protecting, expanding and promoting the sustainable management of forests and woodlands in England.
Forestry England intend to award a framework contract for civil engineering maintenance and minor works. Invitation to tender will be available October 2024 for a 6-week tender period. Commencement date for the framework will be April 2025. The framework will be divided into 16 geographic lots, see here, with 2 Suppliers per lot. Suppliers may bid for any, or all, of the framework lots. The package has a total value of £45 million over four years.
The civil engineering activities delivered through this framework are essential to provide access to the nations forests for all activities undertaken by Forestry England, through the regular maintenance and upkeep of our rural infrastructure and associated assets.
